रायगढ़ ////  लारा एनटीपीसी के राखाड  बांध से हुए रिसाव का  जो   छारीय पानी  नालो से बहते हुए उड़ीसा की तरफ जा रहा था  उसको तुरंत गति से रोक दिया गया है ,मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए एनटीपीसी प्रशासन ने  तुरत गति से  काम करते हुए उस पर रोक लगा दी है ,साथ ही भविष्य में ऐसी घटना ना घटे के लिए राखाड बांध की ऊंचाई को भी बढ़ाया  जा रहा हे

 एनटीपीसी लारा के प्रवक्ता ने कहा है कि  पर्यावरण को लेकर एनटीपीसी हमेशा सजग रहा है ,राखाड  हर ताप विद्युत उत्पादन केंद्र के लिए एक समस्या होती है लेकिन हमारे  इस समस्या से निपटने के लिए तरह-तरह के रिसर्च किए हैं और हम अपनी राख को काफी हद तक इंडस्ट्रियल  डोमेस्टिक यूज कर इस समस्या से निजात पाने में सफल रहे हैं  हाल ही में राखाड  बांध  से हुए रिसाव को लेकर हमने तत्परता से कार्यवाही करते हुए उस पर रोक लगाई है साथी हमारा प्रतिनिधि मंडल उड़ीसा के उन तमाम गांव में भ्रमण  किय और जहां-जहां यह पानी पंहुचा  था कि सफाई कराई है |

          एनटीपीसी पर्यावरण मामलों के प्रति पूर्णतः जागरूक एवं सचेत है। सूचना मिलते ही हमने समस्त आवश्यक कदम उठाये एवं कुछ ही घंटों के भीतर यह ओवरफ्लो बंद करा दिया। आवश्यक संख्या में स्टाफ भेजकर समस्त राख एवं नाले की सफाई कराई गई। ऐश डाइक की ऊंचाई बढ़ाने का कार्य भी जारी है। ओडिशा के समीपवर्ती गांव का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल हमसे मिला एवं शिक्षा एवं स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने के संबंध में चर्चा की। उन्हें नियमों के तहत हर संभव मदद की जाएगी। फिलहाल ऐसा कोई रिसाव या ओवरफ्लो की स्थिति नहीं है। घटना की पुनरावृत्ति रोकने हेतु समस्त आवश्यक कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं।

                     फ्लाई ऐश कोयले के साथ बिजली उत्पादन का एक उत्पाद है। सतत राख का उपयोग एनटीपीसी की प्रमुख चिंताओं में से एक है। 1991 में स्थापित ऐश यूटिलाइजेशन डिवीजन (एयूडी), अपने बिजलीघरों में उत्पादित राख की विशाल मात्रा से अधिकतम उपयोग प्राप्त करने का प्रयास करता है। अब राख को एक कमोडिटी के रूप में देखा जा रहा है जो लंबे समय में कंपनी के लिए धन पैदा कर सकती थी। एयूडी अभेद्य रूप से राख उपयोग के लिए नीतियों, योजनाओं और कार्यक्रमों को तैयार करता है। यह आगे इन गतिविधियों में प्रगति की निगरानी करता है और राख उपयोग के नए क्षेत्रों को विकसित करने के लिए काम करता है। प्रत्येक स्टेशन पर ऐश उपयोग सेल राख उपयोग गतिविधियों को संभालती है।

                         अनुसंधान से पता चला है कि NTPC के बिजलीघरों में निर्मित फ्लाई ऐश की गुणवत्ता, सुंदरता के संबंध में बहुत अच्छी है, कम असंतृप्त कार्बन है और इसमें उच्च पोज़ोलेनिक गतिविधि है और IS 3812 - 2003-पिलवर ईंधन ईंधन की आवश्यकताओं के अनुरूप है जो सीमेंट में पॉज़्ज़ोलाना के रूप में उपयोग के लिए है , सीमेंट मोर्टार और कंक्रीट। NTPC स्टेशनों पर निर्मित फ्लाई ऐश सीमेंट, कंक्रीट, कंक्रीट उत्पादों, सेलुलर कंक्रीट उत्पादों, ईंटों / ब्लॉकों / टाइलों आदि के निर्माण में उपयोग के लिए आदर्श है।

It further monitors progress in these activities and works to develop new areas of ash utilization. The ash utilization cell at each station handles ash utilization activities.

                         Research has shown that the quality of fly ash manufactured in NTPC power stations is very good in terms of fineness, low unsaturated carbon and has high pozolenic activity and is compliant with IS 3812 - 2003-Pilver fuel fuel requirements for cement. Is intended for use as pozzolana, cement mortar and concrete.
