JSPL wins India International CSRImpact Awards – 2020 for Most Innovative Project

Jspl Awarded 'Asha - The Hope' International Impact Award in the latest Project category for Divyang service

Raipur,//////: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) lead by eminent Industrialist and the former MP of Kurukshetra Mr.Naveen Jindal has been honored with India International CSR Impact Awards –2020 last evening during India International CSR Summit & Impact Awards -2020 held online by Brand India. JSPL has been awarded in the category of Most Innovative Project of the Year for its

'Asha- the Hope' project. JSPL's President & Group Head (CSR, Education and Sustainability) Prashant Kumar Hota received the award during the programme, in which eminent leaders from Industry and Civil Society, NGOs were present.

Congratulating the team the Chairperson of JSPL Foundation Smt. Shallu Jindal said, "Asha the Hope is one of our flagship programs

 for empowering persons with special needs, particularly those who are in their formative age group.  With therapeutic and rehabilitative services, the Centers at Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand have been mainstreaming more than 4900 children with special needs. Asha the Hope Centers are Lighthouses those kindle flames of Hope for these children." 

               ‘Asha the Hope’ Centers work for rehabilitation and empowerment of children with special needs and differently-abled persons through various early intervention services such as Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Sensory Integration Therapy, s

pecial education for children with intellectually challenged and hearing impaired, Audiometer Speech therapy and with  Vocational skill  to enable them to face life in its full steam. These Centers also support in providing Artificial Limbs, Assistive & adaptive devices and mobility aids to the specially-abled children and persons. Even during the national lockdown for the Pandemic, JSPL Foundation has been able to impart rehabilitation training online to the target children uninterruptedly through its Asha the Hope Program.

The Centers also organize skill development training, music and dance classes, sports activities and community-based rehabilitation

जे.एस.पी.एल. , दिव्यांगों  सेवा के लिए  नवीनतम परियोजना श्रेणी में 'आशा- द होप' इंटरनेशनल इंपैक्ट अवार्ड से सम्मानित 

रायपुर, ////  उद्योगपति और कुरुक्षेत्र के पूर्व सांसद श्री नवीन जिन्दल के नेतृत्व वाली कंपनी जिन्दल स्टील एंड पावर लिमिटेड (जेएसपीएल) को इंडिया इंटरनेशनल-सीएसआर समिट और इम्पैक्ट अवार्ड्स -2020 के दौरान कल शाम इंडिया इंटरनेशनल-सीएसआर इम्पैक्ट अवार्ड्स से सम्मानित किया गया। जेएसपीएल को यह सम्मान 'आशा- द होप' की परियोजना के लिए वर्ष की नवीनतम परियोजना श्रेणी में प्रदान किया गया। जेएसपीएल के प्रेसिडेंट और ग्रुप हेड (सीएसआर,शिक्षा और सस्टेनिबिलिटी) प्रशांत कुमार होता ने ब्रांड इंडिया की ओर से ऑनलाइन आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में यह सम्मान प्राप्त किया। कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न उद्योगों और गैर-सरकारी संगठनों के अलावा समाज के अनेक अग्रणी व्यक्तियों ने भाग लिया।

इस उपलब्धि पर जेएसपीएल फाउंडेशन की चेयरपर्सन श्रीमती शालू जिन्दल ने टीम के सदस्यों को बधाई देते हुए कहा, "आशा-द होप सामाजिक उत्थान के हमारे प्रमुख प्रयासों में से एक है, जिसके तहत हम दिव्यांग जनों को सशक्त बनाने की कोशिश करते हैं। हमारा जोर विशेष रूप से उन निशक्त बच्चों को मुख्यधारा में लाने पर है, जो अभी अपनी प्रारंभिक आयु में हैं। छत्तीसगढ़, ओडिशा और झारखंड स्थित आशा- द होप केंद्रों में चिकित्सा और पुनर्वास सेवाओं के बल पर हम ऐसे 4900 बच्चों को मुख्यधारा में लाने में सफल हुए हैं। आशा होप सेंटर इन बच्चों के लिए उम्मीद की किरणें हैं।"

गौरतलब है कि सामाजिक उत्थान के संकल्पों के तहत स्थापित “आशा – द होप” केंद्र में अत्याधुनिक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराई गई हैं जिनमें फिजियोथेरेपी, ऑक्यूपेशनल थेरेपी, सेंसरी इंटीग्रेशन थेरेपी, दिव्यांग शिक्षा पद्धति, ऑडियोमीटर स्पीच थेरेपी समेत अनेक प्रभावशाली सेवाएं शामिल हैं। इन माध्यमों से अलग-अलग जरूरतों के हिसाब से बच्चों के पुनर्वास और सशक्तीकरण का काम किया जाता है ताकि उनमें व्यावसायिक कौशल उत्पन्न हो जिससे वे स्वावलंबी और स्वाभिमानी जीवन जी सकें। ये केंद्र विशेष रूप से दिव्यांग बच्चों और व्यक्तियों को कृत्रिम अंग,अन्य सहायक उपकरण भी उपलब्ध कराते हैं। कोविड-19 महामारी के इस काल में लॉकडाउन के दौरान भी जेएसपीएल फाउंडेशन ने इन बच्चों को ऑनलाइन प्रशिक्षण दिया ताकि उनके जीवन में सकारात्मकता बनी रहे। दिव्यांगों के सशक्तीकरण के लिए यहां कौशल विकास प्रशिक्षण, संगीत और नृत्य कक्षाएं, खेल गतिविधियां और समुदाय-आधारित पुनर्वास सहायता कार्यक्रम भी आयोजित किया जाता है।
