NMDC Limited organised a two-day Capacity Building Programme

Hyderabad, 10th October 2026:///  The Vigilance Department of NMDC Limited organised a two-day Capacity Building Programme on 7 and 8 October 2026, focusing on key areas identified by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) under Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2026. The programme featured four thematic sessions on Ethos in Public Procurement, GeM – New Features & Functionalities, Contract Design for Effective Procurement, and Cyber Security & Cyber Hygiene, aimed at strengthening professional competence, promoting ethical decision-making and enhancing transparency and efficiency in organisational processes.

The inaugural session was graced by Shri Krishna Kumar Thakur, Director (Personnel), NMDC, and Shri C. Neelakanta Reddy, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), NMDC. The programme concluded in the gracious presence of Shri Vivek Nishant Nath, Director (Commercial), NMDC, and Shri C. Neelakanta Reddy, CVO, who underscored the importance of continuous capacity building, ethical conduct, transparent systems and effective implementation of preventive vigilance measures.

The first day featured sessions by Shri Sanjay Aggarwal, IRSS, PCMM, RCF–Kapurthala, on “Ethos in Public Procurement”, emphasising integrity, fairness, ethical decision-making and compliance with established procurement principles. Shri Anuj Kumar, Director (GeM), conducted a session on “GeM – New Features & Functionalities”, highlighting recent developments, digital procurement mechanisms and best practices for effective utilisation of the Government e-Marketplace.

On the second day, Shri Ankur Shrivastava, Controller, NRSC, delivered a session on “Contract Design for Effective Procurement”, sharing practical insights and relevant case studies on developing effective procurement contracts. Smt. K. Indraveni, Scientist-F and Associate Director, C-DAC, led a session on “Cyber Security & Cyber Hygiene”, highlighting cyber threats, responsible digital practices and the importance of maintaining security-conscious behaviour in the workplace.

The sessions combined expert perspectives with practical insights to strengthen participants’ understanding of ethical procurement, contract management, digital

purchasing platforms and cyber security. Interactive discussions facilitated the exchange of professional experiences and highlighted the role of robust systems, informed decision-making and procedural compliance in minimising vulnerabilities and preventing irregularities.

Executives nominated from NMDC Head Office and various projects participated in the programme. The initiative reflects NMDC’s continued efforts to strengthen institutional capabilities through knowledge sharing, professional development and preventive vigilance.

The programme reaffirmed NMDC’s commitment to fostering a culture of probity, transparency, accountability and excellence, in line with the broader objectives of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 and the principles of good governance.

हैदराबाद, 10.10.2026///  NMDC लिमिटेड के विजिलेंस डिपार्टमेंट ने 7 और 8 अक्टूबर, 2026 को दो दिन का कैपेसिटी बिल्डिंग प्रोग्राम आयोजित किया। यह प्रोग्राम विजिलेंस अवेयरनेस वीक (VAW) 2026 के तहत सेंट्रल विजिलेंस कमीशन (CVC) द्वारा पहचाने गए खास एरिया पर फोकस करता है। प्रोग्राम में पब्लिक प्रोक्योरमेंट में अपनाए जाने वाले प्रोसेस, GeM – नए फीचर्स और फंक्शनैलिटी, असरदार प्रोक्योरमेंट के लिए कॉन्ट्रैक्ट डिजाइन, और साइबर सिक्योरिटी पर चार थीमैटिक सेशन शामिल थे। इनका मुख्य मकसद बिजनेस कैपेबिलिटी को मजबूत करना, सही फैसले लेने को बढ़ावा देना और ऑर्गेनाइजेशनल प्रोसेस में ट्रांसपेरेंसी और एफिशिएंसी बढ़ाना था। उद्घाटन सेशन NMDC के डायरेक्टर (पर्सनेल) श्री कृष्ण कुमार ठाकुर और NMDC के चीफ विजिलेंस ऑफिसर (CVO) श्री सी. नीलकंठ रेड्डी की शानदार मौजूदगी में हुआ। इवेंट के समापन समारोह में NMDC के डायरेक्टर (कमर्शियल) श्री विवेक निशांत नाथ और CVO श्री सी नीलकंठ रेड्डी मौजूद थे, जिन्होंने लगातार कैपेसिटी बिल्डिंग, नैतिक आचरण, ट्रांसपेरेंट सिस्टम और रोकथाम के उपायों को असरदार तरीके से लागू करने के महत्व पर ज़ोर दिया। पहले दिन, RCF-कपूरथला के IRSS, PCMM, श्री संजय अग्रवाल ने “पब्लिक प्रोक्योरमेंट में नैतिकता” सेशन में लेक्चर और प्रेजेंटेशन दिए, जिसमें ईमानदारी, निष्पक्षता, नैतिक फैसले लेने और स्थापित प्रोक्योरमेंट सिद्धांतों का पालन करने पर ज़ोर दिया गया। इसके अलावा, GEM के डायरेक्टर श्री अनुज कुमार ने “GEM – नए फीचर्स और मेथडोलॉजी” पर एक सेशन किया, जिसमें हाल के डेवलपमेंट, डिजिटल प्रोक्योरमेंट मैकेनिज्म और सरकारी ई-मार्केटप्लेस के असरदार इस्तेमाल के लिए बेस्ट प्रैक्टिस पर रोशनी डाली गई। दूसरे दिन, NRSC के कंट्रोलर श्री अंकुर श्रीवास्तव ने असरदार प्रोक्योरमेंट कॉन्ट्रैक्ट बनाने पर प्रैक्टिकल जानकारी और ज़रूरी केस स्टडी शेयर करके पार्टिसिपेंट्स को “असरदार प्रोक्योरमेंट के लिए कॉन्ट्रैक्ट डिज़ाइन” पर गाइड किया। मिसेज के. इंद्रवेणी, साइंटिस्ट-F, और C-DAC की एसोसिएट डायरेक्टर ने पार्टिसिपेंट्स को “साइबर सिक्योरिटी और साइबर सिक्योरिटी” के बारे में डिटेल में बताया, जिसमें साइबर खतरों, ज़िम्मेदार डिजिटल प्रैक्टिस और काम पर सिक्योरिटी का ध्यान रखने वाले व्यवहार को बनाए रखने की अहमियत पर ज़ोर दिया गया। इन सेशन में एक्सपर्ट्स के नज़रिए को प्रैक्टिकल जानकारी के साथ जोड़ा गया ताकि पार्टिसिपेंट्स की एथिकल प्रोक्योरमेंट, कॉन्ट्रैक्ट मैनेजमेंट, डिजिटल प्रोक्योरमेंट प्लेटफॉर्म और साइबर सिक्योरिटी की समझ को मज़बूत किया जा सके। इस प्रोग्राम ने इंटरैक्टिव चर्चाओं के ज़रिए प्रोफेशनल अनुभवों के आदान-प्रदान को आसान बनाया और अपने पार्टिसिपेंट्स को ऑफिस के कामकाज में मुश्किलों को कम करने और गड़बड़ियों को रोकने में मज़बूत सिस्टम, सही फैसले लेने और प्रोसीजरल पालन की भूमिका के बारे में बताया।

NMDC हेडक्वार्टर और अलग-अलग प्रोजेक्ट्स के डेज़िग्नेटेड ऑफिसर्स ने प्रोग्राम में हिस्सा लिया। यह कैपेसिटी बिल्डिंग प्रोग्राम NMDC की नॉलेज शेयरिंग, प्रोफेशनल डेवलपमेंट और प्रिवेंटिव विजिलेंस के ज़रिए अपने कर्मचारियों की क्षमताओं को मज़बूत करने की लगातार कोशिशों को दिखाता है।

इस दो दिन के ज़रूरी इवेंट ने विजिलेंस अवेयरनेस वीक 2026 और गुड गवर्नेंस के बड़े मकसदों के हिसाब से ईमानदारी, ट्रांसपेरेंसी, अकाउंटेबिलिटी और एक्सीलेंस के कल्चर को बढ़ावा देने के NMDC के कमिटमेंट को फिर से पक्का किया।
