HL: NMDC Steel Limited Achieves First Major Production Milestone
Hyderabad, August 20, 2024: NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) proudly announces a landmark achievement of its production capabilities. Today, this ultra-modern, state-of-the-art plant has successfully produced 1 Million Ton (MnT) of Hot Rolled Coil (HRC), reaching this milestone four days ahead of the first anniversary of commencement of HRCoil production. This achievement underscores NSL's position as one of the fastest and most efficient plants in the industry, characterized by its remarkable spirit, performance and cutting-edge technology.
This significant accomplishment builds on NSL’s earlier successes in 2024. On July 21, 2024, the company achieved the production of 1.5 MnT of Hot Metal from its Blast Furnace, and on August 11, 2024, it produced 1 MnTof Liquid Steel from the Steel Making Shop (SMS). Both milestones were reached in less than a year from the commencement of production, setting new benchmarks for performance in the industry.
These achievements highlight NSL’s commitment to operational excellence and innovation. The company continues to push the boundaries by aspiring to be a leader in the steel manufacturing sector with a sole focus on efficiency, sustainability, and technological advancement.
This ultra-modern 3 MTPA steel plant isset up with an investment of Rs. 22,900 crore houses one of the widest Hot Strip Mills in India, capable of rolling HR coils of 900 mm to 1650 mm width in 1 mm to 16 mm thickness.

एनएमडीसी स्टील लिमिटेड का पहला प्रमुख उत्पादन बना मील का पत्थर
एनएमडीसी स्टील लिमिटेड के खाते में हासिल हुई बड़ी उपलब्धि, 01 मिलियन टन एचआरसी का उत्पादन
हैदराबाद, 21 अगस्त, 2024 /// एनएमडीसी स्टील लिमिटेड (एनएसएल) ने अपनी उत्पादन क्षमता में बड़ी उपलब्धि हासिल करते हुए पहला नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित किया है। छत्तीसगढ के नगरनार स्थित एनएमडीसी स्टील के अल्ट्रामाडर्न ,अत्याधुनिक संयंत्र ने 1 मिलियन टन (एमएनटी ) हॉट रोल्ड कॉइल (एचआरसी) का सफलतापूर्वक उत्पादन किया है, जो कंपनी के लिए एक बड़ी उपलब्धि है। खासबात ये है कि एचआर कॉइल उत्पादन की ये उपलब्धि कंपनी की पहली वर्षगांठ से चार दिन पहले ही हासिल हुई है। एनएमडीसी प्रबंधन ने इस उपलब्धि को मील का पत्थर करार दिया है। यह उपलब्धि उद्योग में सबसे तेज़ और सबसे कुशल संयंत्रों में से एक के रूप में एनएसएल की स्थिति को रेखांकित करती है, जो इसकी उल्लेखनीय भावना, प्रदर्शन और अत्याधुनिक प्रौद्योगिकी की विशेषता है।
यह महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि 2024 में एनएसएल की पिछली सफलताओं पर आधारित है। बताते चलें कि 21 जुलाई, 2024 को कंपनी ने अपने ब्लास्ट फर्नेस से 1.5 मिलियन टन हॉट मेटल का उत्पादन हासिल किया और 11 अगस्त, 2024 को इसने स्टील मेकिंग शॉप (एसएमएस) से 1 मिलियन टन लिक्विड स्टील का उत्पादन किया। उत्पादन शुरू होने के एक वर्ष से भी कम समय में दोनों प्रकार के उत्पादनों में कंपनी ने मील के पत्थर हासिल किए , जिससे उद्योग में प्रदर्शन के लिए नए मानक स्थापित हुआ।

यह अत्याधुनिक 3 एमटीपीए स्टील प्लांट रू 22,900 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश से स्थापित किया गया है, जो भारत की सबसे चौड़ी हॉट स्ट्रिप मिलों में से एक है, जो 900 मिमी से 1650 मिमी चौड़ाई के एचआर कॉइल्स को 1 मिमी से 16 मिमी मोटाई में रोल करने में सक्षम है।
एनएमडीसी और एनएसएल के सीएमडी (अतिरिक्त प्रभार) श्री अमिताभ मुखर्जी ने इस उपलब्धि पर अपने बधाई संदेश में कहा- “मुझे यह बताते हुए बेहद गर्व मससूस हो रहा है कि एनएसएल अपनी उत्पादन यात्रा के शुरुआती दौर में ही इस महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि हासिल कर लिया है। निर्धारित समय से पहले 1 एमएनटी हॉट रोल्ड कॉइल (एचआरसी) हासिल करना हमारी पूरी टीम के समर्पण, विशेषज्ञता और कड़ी मेहनत का प्रमाण है। इस उपलब्धि ने न केवल पीएसयू क्षेत्र के भीतर एक नया मानक स्थापित किया, बल्कि उद्योग के बेंचमार्क के मुकाबले भी मजबूती से टिका हुआ है । हम इस गति को बनाए रखने और गुणवत्ता और दक्षता के साथ आगे बढ़ते रहने पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हैं।”
