NMDC celebrates India’s 78th Independence Day

Hyderabad, 15th August, 2024 >>  India’s largest iron ore producer and Navratna mining company, celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The national flag was hoisted at the company's headquarters in Hyderabad and at all its project sites.

Shri Amitava Mukherjee (Additional Charge CMD, NMDC) unfurled the tricolor at the NMDC Corporate Office in Hyderabad, accompanied by Shri Vinay Kumar, Director (Technical) & Personnel (Addl. Charge); Shri B. Vishwanath, Chief Vigilance Officer; Shri Zailabuddin,senior most employee at Head Office, senior officials and employees.

In his address to the gathering at the Hyderabad headquarters, Shri Mukherjee said, “It is a privilege for NMDC to uphold the responsibility of serving and meeting the nation’s infrastructural needs, symbolizing our enduring commitment to India’s progress. Our steadfast resolve has led NMDC to become the first mining company in the country to surpass the 45 million-tonne mark. With this determination, we are set to achieve within the next five years what we have accomplished over the past six decades, raising our production from 50 million tonnes to 100 million tonnes. Our strong Q1 financial results and achievements, including 1 million tonnes of liquid steel and 1.5 million tonnes of hot metal production at the NMDC Steel plant, are a testament to the modern marvel we have built for India. NMDC is dedicated to responsible mining and sustainability.”

Additionally, the winners of the third edition of the NMDC-Hindu chess tournament held on August 11, Sunday, at the State Art Gallery in Hyderabadwere felicitated today by the CMD. Approximately 600 students from 110 schools participated in the event. CMD, Director Technical, CVO, President and office bearers of Mineral Eves’ club Hyderabad felicitated the winners of the internal games organized for employees and associates.

हैदराबाद, 15 अगस्त 2024 : देश की सबसे बड़ी लौह अयस्क उत्पादक और नवरत्नखनन कंपनी एनएमडीसी ने 78वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस पूर्ण उत्साह के साथ मनाया ।  हैदराबाद स्थित कंपनी के मुख्यालय और इसके सभी परियोजना स्थलों पर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया गया ।

एनएमडीसी के कार्पोरेट कार्यालय में अमिताभ मुखर्जी(Additional Charge CMD, NMDC)  ने तिरंगा फहराया ।

 इस अवसर पर श्री विनय कुमार, निदेशक (तकनीकी)एवं (कार्मिक)-अतिरिक्त प्रभार;  श्री बी. विश्वनाथ,मुख्य सतर्कता अधिकारी, श्री जैलाबुद्दीन, मुख्यालय में वरिष्ठतम कर्मचारी, वरिष्ठ अधिकारी और कर्मचारीगण उपस्थित थे ।

मुख्यालय, हैदराबाद में सभा को संबोधित करते हुए श्री मुखर्जी ने कहा, “एनएमडीसी के लिए यह गौरव की बात है कि यह राष्ट्र की आधारभूत आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति और सेवा प्रदान करने का उत्तरदायित्व निभा रहा है, जो कि भारत की प्रगति के प्रति हमारी दृढ़ प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है । हमारे दृढ़ संकल्प का ही परिणाम है कि एनएमडीसी45 मिलियन टन के आँकड़े को पार करनेवाली देश की पहली कंपनी बन गई है । इस दृढ़ संकल्प के साथ हम अगले पाँच वर्षों में वह सब हासिल करने के लिए तैयार हैं जो कि हमने पिछले छह दशकों में हासिल किया है, जिससे हमारा उत्पादन 50 मिलियन टन से बढ़कर 100 मिलियन टन हो जाएगा । पहली तिमाही की हमारेमजबूद वित्तीय परिणाम और उपलब्धियाँ, जिसमें एनएमडीसी स्टील प्लांट में 1 मिलियन टन लिक्विड स्टील और 1.5 मिलियन टन हॉट मेटल उत्पादन भी शामिल है, हमारे द्वारा भारत के लिए निर्मित आधुनिक चमत्कार का प्रमाण है । एनएमडीसी जिम्मेदार खनन और सुस्थिरता के लिए समर्पित है ।”

इसके अतिरिक्त, रविवार, 11 अगस्त को हैदराबाद स्थित स्टेट आर्ट गैलरी में आयोजित एनएमडीसी-हिंदू शतरंज टूर्नामेंट के तृतीय संस्करण के विजेताओं को आज सीएमडी महोदय द्वारा सम्मानित किया गया । इस प्रतियोगिता में 110 विद्यालयों के लगभग 600 छात्रों ने भाग लिया था । सीएमडी, निदेशक तकनीकी, मुख्य सतर्कता अधिकारी और मिनरल ईव्स क्लब की अध्यक्षा एवं पदाधिकारियों ने कर्मचारियों व सहयोगियों के लिए आयोजित आंतरिक खेल प्रतियोंगिताओं के विजेताओं को पुरस्कृत किया ।
