NHMMI team saved the life of a young male suffering from severe viral myocarditis infection.

saving many lives during the Covid-19 pandemic, recently saved a young man from a deadly viral

infection that had claimed both lungs and heart Yes.

A 32 year old male came to the emergency with severe edema and no blood pressure. The patient

was referred to the specialist Dr. Deepesh May from a local nursing home. On silence it was found

that the patient's condition was deteriorating every hour. Dr. May directed the ECMO team to treatthe patient. On silent it looked like life-threatening viral myocarditis with decreased heart and lungfunction.Immediately after assessing the benefits and risks, VA-ECMO was initiated.
