****** 63 mines of SECL get star rating from Ministry of Coal 51 mines including opencast and underground mines get a star rating of 3 or more ***

 BILASPUR 26-04-2023 //// 63 mines of SECL have got a place in the star rating list of coal and lignite mines issued by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India based on the performance in the financial year 2021-22. Among underground mines, Bangwar mine has secured the maximum 5 star rating while in opencast category, mega project Dipka and Gevra, Saraipali and Manikpur mines have got 4 star rating. A total of 51 mines of SECL, including opencast and underground mines, have got a star rating of 3 or more.

Star rating of coal mines has been launched by the Ministry of Coal to promote green, safe and sustainable mining practices with the help of technology. Coal Controller's Organisation, Ministry of Coal gives star ratings to coal and lignite mines across the country based on performance of mines in complying with different rules & regulations relating to mining operations as well as in areas relating to safety, environment, rehabilitation of project affected families, welfare of workers etc.

On the occasion of SECL mines getting star rating, CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra said that for SECL we are not only focused on coal production, but quality of coal is equally important for us. So many of our mines achieving star rating is the result of our consistent efforts on important issues like environment, swift employment of project affected people, compliance of safety standards, labour welfare etc. All our officers and work colleagues deserve congratulations for this, and I wish them all the best.

The 63 mines which have been awarded star rating in the released list include 21 opencast mines and 42 underground mines. Jagannathpur, Jampali, Sharda, Kanchan, Mahan-2, Dhanpuri and Bijari mines have got 3-star rating in opencast mines. On the other hand, in underground mines Khairha, NCPH R-6, Rani Atari, Vindhya, Kapildhara, Pali, Surakchhar, Bagdeva, Bhatgaon, Kurja, Rajgamar etc. mines have achieved 4 star rating.

बिलासपुर  26/04/2023 /// वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 के प्रदर्शन के आधार पर कोयला मंत्रालय भारत सरकार द्वारा जारी की गई कोयला एवं लिग्नाइट खदानों की स्टार रेटिंग सूची में एसईसीएल की 63 खदानों को स्थान मिला है। भूमिगत खदानों में बंगवार खदान ने सबसे ज़्यादा 5 स्टार रेटिंग हासिल की है वहीं ओपनकास्ट श्रेणी में मेगा प्रोजेक्ट दीपका एवं गेवरा, सराइपाली और मानिकपुर खदान को 4 स्टार रेटिंग मिली है। ओपनकास्ट और भूमिगत खदानों को मिलाकर एसईसीएल की कुल 51 खदानों को 3 या उससे अधिक की स्टार रेटिंग मिली है।

कोयला मंत्रालय द्वारा प्रौद्योगिकी की मदद से हरित, सुरक्षित और टिकाऊ खनन प्रथाओं को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कोयला खदानों की स्टार रेटिंग की शुरुआत की गई है। कोयला नियंत्रक संगठन, कोयला मंत्रालय खनन कार्यों से जुड़े विभिन्न नियमों और विनियमों के पालन, मुख्य रूप से सुरक्षा, पर्यावरण, परियोजना प्रभावित परिवारों के पुनर्वास, श्रमिकों के कल्याण आदि से संबंधित बिन्दुओं पर खदानों के प्रदर्शन के आधार पर देश भर की कोयला एवं लिग्नाइट खदानों को रेटिंग प्रदान करता है।

एसईसीएल की खदानों द्वारा स्टार रेटिंग हासिल करने पर सीएमडी डॉ प्रेम सागर मिश्रा ने कहा कि एसईसीएल के लिए कोयला उत्पादन जितना महत्वपूर्ण है उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण कोयले की गुणवत्ता भी है। इसके साथ ही पर्यावरण, परियोजना प्रभावितों को जल्द से जल्द रोजगार, सुरक्षा मानकों का पालन, श्रमिक कल्याण जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर किए जा रहे हमारे प्रयासों का ही नतीजा है कि इतनी बड़ी संख्या में हमारी खदानों ने स्टार रेटिंग हासिल की है। हमारे सभी अधिकारी और कामगार साथी इसके लिए बधाई के पात्र हैं और मैं सभी को शुभकामनाएँ देता हूँ। 

जारी सूची में जिन 63 खदानों को स्टार रेटिंग प्रदान की गई है उनमें 21 ओपनकास्ट खदान और 42 भूमिगत खदान शामिल हैं। ओपनकास्ट खदानों में जगन्नाथपुर, जामपाली, शारदा, कंचन, महान-2, धनपुरी और बिजारी खदानों को 3 स्टार रेटिंग मिली है। वहीं भूमिगत खदानों में खैरहा, एनसीपीएच आर-6, रानी अटारी, विंध्या, कपिलधारा, पाली, सूराकछार, बगदेवा, भटगाँव, कुरजा, रजगामार आदि खदानों ने 4 स्टार रेटिंग हासिल की है।
