University of Texas (Dallas) confers the Lifetime Achievement Award to distinguished alumni Naveen Jindal

He is the second person to receive the Award after Nobel Laureate Aziz Sancar-

Raipur, 29 March 2023 :///  Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Mr Naveen Jindal has been honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by the University of Texas (Dallas) for his accomplishments in industry, politics, and education. An Alumni of UT Dallas 1992 batch, Mr Jindal received the award in a ceremony held by the University on the 25th of March 2023. Mr Naveen Jindal is the second person receiving the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the University of Texas, Dallas after Nobel Laureate Aziz Sancar.

As a student at UT Dallas, Mr Jindal served as both Student Government Vice President and President and earned the Student Leader of the Year Award. To celebrate the enormous success of their most distinguished alumni, the University of Texas at Dallas honoured him by rechristening their School of Management as the Naveen Jindal School of Management in 2011.This award is the highest honour that UT Dallas bestows on alumni, to recognize a graduate whose extraordinary contributions have bettered society, transformed UT Dallas, and inspired others to reach new heights of excellence.

रायपुर, 29 मार्च 2023 ///  कुरुक्षेत्र के पूर्व सांसद, समर्पित समाजसेवी, जाने-माने उद्योगपति, शिक्षाविद् और निशानेबाजी व पोलो के अंतरराष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ी श्री नवीन जिन्दल को यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ टेक्सास एट डेलास (यूटीडी) ने लाइफटाइम एचीवमेंट अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया है। श्री जिन्दल यूनिवर्सिटी के इतिहास में दूसरे व्यक्ति हैं, जिन्हें यह प्रतिष्ठित सम्मान प्राप्त हुआ है। इनसे पहले अमेरिकी-तुर्की जैव वैज्ञानिक अज़ीज़ सैंकर को यह सम्मान प्रदान किया गया है, जिन्होंने 1977 में इस यूनिवर्सिटी से पीएचडी की डिग्री प्राप्त की थी। उन्हें 2015 में रसायन शास्त्र का नोबल पुरस्कार मिला है। वे डीएनए रिपेयर, सेल साइकल चेकप्वाइंट्स और सर्काडियन क्लॉक के विशेषज्ञ हैं।

 श्री नवीन जिन्दल को सफल उद्योगपति, राजनेता और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में उनके अनुकरणीय योगदान के लिए यह सम्मान प्रदान किया गया है। श्री जिन्दल ने 1992 में यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ टेक्सास एट डेलास से प्रबंधन में स्नातकोत्तर की डिग्री प्राप्त की थी। उन्हें एक खास आयोजन में 25 मार्च 2023 को सम्मानित किया गया।

यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ टेक्सास एट डेलास में श्री नवीन जिन्दल का छात्र जीवन उपलब्धियों से भरा रहा। वे स्टुडेंट गवर्नमेंट के अध्यक्ष और उपाध्यक्ष, दोनों रहे और उन्हें वर्ष के छात्र नेता का सम्मान भी प्रदान किया गया। उन्हें 2010 में विश्वविद्यालय के खास पूर्व छात्र का भी सम्मान प्रदान किया गया। यही वह स्थान है, जहां श्री जिन्दल को भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज तिरंगा से इतना प्यार हुआ कि वे प्रतिदिन राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने और राष्ट्रीय ध्वज के माध्यम से देशप्रेम प्रदर्शित करने के लिए प्रेरित हुए। भारत आकर उन्होंने 10 साल कानूनी जंग लड़ी, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप 23 जनवरी 2004 को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने देशवासियों को पूरे सम्मान के साथ तिरंगा फहराने का अधिकार दिया।

अपने छात्र श्री नवीन जिन्दल की अनेक क्षेत्रों में सफलता से गर्वान्वित यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ टेक्सास एट डेलास ने 2011 में अपने प्रबंधन संस्थान का नाम नवीन जिन्दल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मैनेजमेंट करके एक बड़ा सम्मान दिया। लाइफटाइम एचीवमेंट अवार्ड पूर्व छात्रों के लिए यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ टेक्सास एट डेलास का सर्वोच्च सम्मान है। यह सम्मान उन्हें प्रदान किया जाता है जिन्होंने सामाजिक परिवर्तन लाने एवं यूनिवर्सिटी के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया हो और जीवन की ऊंचाइयों को छूने के लिए लोगों की प्रेरणा का स्रोत बन गया हो।
