जेएसपी को सीएसआर जर्नल एक्सीलेंस अवार्ड

Raipur, 28 February 2023: /// Leading steelmaker Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) was declared as the Winner of the prestigious CSR Journal Excellence  Award 2022,  under the category of  Education and Skill Development for its  Special Education Programme  "Asha - the Hope" for DiyangJan, held at Mumbai on 25th February 2023.

Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra MrEknathShinde graced the event and applauded the Corporates for various inclusive development programs under their CSR initiatives. The Chief Minister congratulated the Winners and the Runner up awardees and appreciated the Grand Jury for adopting a stringent selection process.

On behalf of the Company and its CSR Arm JSP Foundation MrPrashantHota, President & JSP’s Group Head CSR & Education received the Award in National Stock Exchange Auditorium, Mumbai.

Congratulating the Team CSR for receiving the prestigious Award, Chairperson of JSP Foundation MsShallu Jindal said,   "Asha the Hope, the Flagship Programme of JSP Foundation   for rehabilitating and mainstreaming the DivyangJan is close to my heart. We chase our dream for an Inclusive India where none should be left out from the basic needs of life.  Education is the building block of Civilizations and I strongly believe that our Digyang Children and Citizens will continue to be nation builders, if we all discharge our responsibility to support them with inclusive measures, appropriate rehabilitation and special education. I am thankful to the Jury for recognizing our work and selecting us as the Winner of this prestigious CSR Journal Excellence Award”.

Asha the Hope Programme, run by JSP Foundation in Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, is a flagship CSR initiative of JSP. Under this program, Centre-based therapeutic and rehabilitation services such as occupational therapy, speech training, special education and skill training are given to children with special needs. More than 5000 children are being rehabilitated and encompassed under a holistic special education initiative.

Recently, JSP has been honoured with various awards, including the Golden Peacock Award 2022 for its excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility activities in the Steel Sector and FICCI CSR Special Commendation Award for its efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. The Company has been declared as winner of the recently announced National CSR Award by the Ministry of Corporate Affair, Government of India in two categories.

रायपुर -28 फरवरी 2023 //// जाने-माने उद्योगपति श्री नवीन जिन्दल के नेतृत्व वाली देश की अग्रणी स्टील कंपनी जिन्दल स्टील एंड पावर (जेएसपी) को शिक्षा एवं कौशल विकास श्रेणी में दिव्यांगजनों के लिए खास शैक्षिक कार्यक्रम “आशा – द होप” की पहल के लिए प्रतिष्ठित सीएसआर जर्नल एक्सीलेंस अवार्ड – 2022 से सम्मानित किया गया है। यह सम्मान जेएसपी के प्रेसिडेंट एवं सीएसआर प्रमुख प्रशांत कुमार होता ने ग्रहण किया।

इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री श्री एकनाथ शिंदे ने सीएसआर के जरिये सामाजिक विकास के कार्यों में योगदान करने के लिए कंपनियों की सराहना की औरउचित चयन प्रक्रिया के लिए निर्णायक मंडल की भी तारीफ की।

यहां जारी एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में जेएसपी फाउंडेशन की चेयरपर्सन श्रीमती शालू जिन्दल ने इस अभूतपूर्व उपलब्धि पर टीम को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि“आशा-द होप” दिव्यांगजनों के पुनर्वास और उन्हें मुख्यधारा में लाने के लिए जेएसपी फाउंडेशन का एक प्रमुख कार्यक्रम है, जो उनके दिल के बेहद करीब है। उन्होंने कहा कि सामाजिक उत्थान के माध्यम से उनकी टीम समृद्ध भारत के सपने साकार करने के लिए प्रयासरत है। जेएसपी फाउंडेशन का संकल्प है कि लोगों की बुनियादी जरूरतें पूरी करने की उसकी योजनाओं का लाभ सभी पात्रों तक पहुंचे और कोई भीव्यक्ति उन लाभों से वंचित न रहे। सभ्यताओं के निर्माण में शिक्षा की एक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है और हमें दृढ़विश्वास है कि यदि हम समर्पित भाव से दिव्यांगजनों और अन्य नागरिकों के उत्थान, पुनर्वास और विशेष शिक्षा प्राप्ति में सहयोग के अपने कर्तव्यों का पालन करें तो कोई शक नहीं कि वे राष्ट्र निर्माण में योगदान के प्रति सदैव तत्पर रहेंगे। श्रीमती जिन्दल ने सामाजिक विकास में जेएसपी फाउंडेशन के योगदान के लिए सीएसआर जर्नल एक्सीलेंस अवार्ड प्रदान करने पर निर्णायक मंडल के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया। 

गौरतलब है कि जेएसपी फाउंडेशन “आशा-द होप” कार्यक्रम ओडिशा, छत्तीसगढ़ और झारखंड में चला रहा है, जिसके तहत दिव्यांगजनों, खासकर बच्चों को चिकित्सा एवं पुनर्वास सेवाएं प्रदान की जाती हैं। उनका आधुनिक चिकित्सा पद्धति से इलाज किया ही जाता है, उन्हें बोलने-चलने एवं कौशल का प्रशिक्षण भी दिया जाता है। इस मुहिम के माध्यम से 5000 से अधिक बच्चों को मुख्यधारा में लाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। जेएसपी को हाल में गोल्डन पीकॉक अवार्ड एवं केंद्रीय कंपनी मामलों के विभाग की ओर से दो क्षेत्रों में सेवाओं के लिए राष्ट्रीय सीएसआर अवार्ड भी प्रदान किया गया है।
