Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO) appoints Mr. Rajesh Kumar as CEO & Whole Time Director

Balconagar korba, 17th February 2023:///  The Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), India’s iconic aluminium producer and a subsidiary of Vedanta Aluminium Business, recently appointed Mr. Rajesh Kumar as its new CEO and Whole Time Director. Mr. Rajesh Kumar has 36 years of experience in operations, maintenance, project implementation, and productivity improvement in Tata Steel's Indian and Thai units. Mr. Rajesh Kumar holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering ( B Tech) from Banaras Hindu University ( IIT BHU) and is a gold medalist in finance from XLRI, Jamshedpur, where he did his master’s in business administration( MBA).

Mr. Rajesh has extensive experience in organisational excellence, the implementation of large projects, and the commissioning of new plants. He has made significant contributions to the mergers and acquisitions of numerous companies and has led several manufacturing units to achieve world-class production, productivity, and quality benchmarks. Mr. Rajesh Kumar has overseen a wide range of functions, including profit centres, manufacturing, total quality management, operations, industrial safety, production and quality improvement, project engineering, digitization, logistics, human resource development, financial analysis, leadership and strategy.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar replaces Mr. Abhijit Pati, who will now serve as Vedanta Aluminium’s Chief Transformation Officer. Mr. Pati will play a significant role in the expansion of the aluminium and alumina projects, vertical integration, downstream aluminium business development, and many other areas, in addition to achieving the aspirations of Vedanta’s Center of Excellence and Environmental, Social & Governance verticals. Mr. Pati's contribution to strengthening Vedanta's largest greenfield aluminium smelter project in Jharsuguda, Odisha, is a noteworthy addition to his endeavours, in addition to taking BALCO to newer heights in ESG, operational excellence, and human resources.

बालको ने राजेश कुमार को मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी एवं पूर्णकालिक निदेषक के पद पर नियुक्त किया

बालकोनगर, 17 फरवरी। वेदांता एल्यूमिनियम व्यवसाय की अनुषंगी कंपनी एवं देष की प्रमुख एल्यूमिनियम उत्पादक इकाई भारत एल्यूमिनियम कंपनी लिमिटेड (बालको) ने श्री राजेश कुमार को अपना नया मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी एवं पूर्णकालिक निदेषक नियुक्त किया है। टाटा स्टील की भारतीय एवं थाईलैंड की इकाइयों में प्रचालन, अनुरक्षण, परियोजना क्रियान्वयन, उत्पादकता बढ़ोत्तरी आदि कार्य क्षेत्रों में उन्हें 36 वर्षों का अनुभव है। श्री राजेश कुमार ने बनारस हिंदू विष्वविद्यालय से मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में बी.टेक और एक्सएलआरआई से फाइनेंस में स्वर्ण पदक के साथ एमबीए की उपाधि ली है।

श्री राजेश कुमार को विनिर्माण उत्कृष्टता के साथ वृहद परियोजनाओं और नए संयंत्रों के क्रियान्वयन का लंबा अनुभव रहा है। अनेक कंपनियों के विलय एवं अधिग्रहण प्रक्रियाओं में उन्होंने महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है। उनके नेतृत्व में विभिन्न विनिर्माण इकाइयों ने उत्पादन, उत्पादकता और गुणवत्ता बढ़ाने तथा लागत घटाकर विष्वस्तरीय बेंचमार्क हासिल करने में सफलता हासिल की। प्रॉफिट सेंटर, विनिर्माण, टोटल क्वालिटी मैनेजमेंट, प्रचालन, विलय एवं अधिग्रहण, औद्योगिक सुरक्षा, उत्पादकता एवं गुणवत्ता सुधार, परियोजना अभियांत्रिकी, डिजिटाइजेषन, लॉजिस्टिक्स, मानव संसाधन विकास, वित्तीय विष्लेषण, नेतृत्व एवं रणनीति आदि अनेक क्षेत्रों में उन्हें विषेषज्ञता हासिल है।

 श्री राजेश कुमार ने श्री अभिजीत पति का स्थान लिया है। श्री पति अब वेदांता एल्यूमिनियम के चीफ ट्रांसफॉर्मेषन ऑफिसर के तौर पर सेवाएं देंगे। वेदांता के सेंटर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस और ईएसजी संबंधी लक्ष्यों को हासिल करने के साथ ही एल्यूमिना एवं एल्यूमिनियम विस्तार परियोजनाओं, डाउनस्ट्रीम एल्यूमिनियम व्यवसाय के विकास आदि अनेक क्षेत्रों में श्री पति की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका होगी। बालको के ईएसजी, प्रचालन एवं मानव संसाधन उत्कृष्टता के अलावा श्री पति ने ओडिषा के झारसुगुड़ा में वेदांता द्वारा सबसे बड़े ग्रीन फील्ड एल्यूमिनियम स्मेल्टर परियोजना की स्थापना में प्रषंसनीय योगदान दिया।
