JSP Launches Coal Trading Arm to Cater to Sponge Iron Units

Raipur, 10 July 2022 - JSP has launched a Coal trading Arm aiming to cater to Sponge iron units.

JSP will be importing coal from Vulcan Energy-Mozambique and will have its hub and spoke sales centers at various locations in country. The business model will be helpful to small steel mills to secure coal for their sponge iron kilns.

There is a shortage of coal in country and Govt. of India is encouraging import of coal to meet our nation’s energy demand. JSP explained today as to how the Mozambique coal can bridge the supply chain gap and can enable sponge iron units to function fully.

It is pertinent to mention that the scarp prices have gone up by $100 per ton in international market in last one week. Hence to produce steel the Sponge iron route can be the most economical said a Sponge iron manufacturer in a customer’s meet called by JSP in hotel Babylon Raipur.

जेएसपी ने स्पंज आयरन इकाइयों के लिए कोयला बिक्री कंपनी शुरू की

रायपुर, 10 जुलाई 2022 –जिन्दल स्टील एंड पावर (जेएसपी) ने स्पंज आयरन इकाइयों की जरूरतें पूरी करने के लिए कोयला बिक्री कंपनी शुरू की है।

इस नए कारोबार के लिए जेएसपी वल्कन एनर्जी-मोजाम्बिक से कोयले का आयात करेगी और देश के विभिन्न स्थानों पर स्थापित अपने प्रतिष्ठानों और बिक्री केंद्रों के माध्यम से कोयला उपलब्ध कराएगी। देश में कोयले की उपलब्धता के लिए शुरू किये गए इस नए कारोबार से छोटी स्टील मिलों को स्पंज आयरन किल्न के संचालन में कोयले की कमी आड़े नहीं आएगी।

इनदिनों कोयले की कमी है इसलिए सरकार देश की ऊर्जा जरूरतें पूरी करने के लिए कोयले के आयात को प्रोत्साहित कर रही है। जेएसपी ने आज विस्तार से बताया कि कोयले की कमी को किस तरह मोजाम्बिक से आया कोयला दूर करेगा और स्पंज आयरन यूनिटों को पूरी क्षमता से उत्पादन करने में सक्षम बनाएगा।

गौरतलब है कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में पिछले एक सप्ताह में कबाड़ (स्क्रैप) की कीमतें 100 डॉलर प्रति टन से ऊपर हो गई हैं।रायपुर के होटल बेबीलोन में आयोजित ग्राहक सम्मेलन में एक स्पंज आयरन उत्पादक ने स्क्रैप की बढ़ती कीमतों के संदर्भ में जेएसपी की पहल का स्वागत करते हुए कहा कि स्पंज आयरन पद्धति से स्टील का उत्पादन सस्ता पड़ेगा।
