बालको में विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर शुरू हुआ सप्ताहिक उत्सव बालको कर्मचारी स्वयं सेवकों के सहयोग से रोपेगे 5000 पौधे

बालकोनगर, 07 जून /////  भारत एल्यूमिनियम कंपनी लिमिटेड (बालको) ने विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के मौके पर साप्ताहिक कार्यक्रम के आयोजन की शुरूआत की। छत्तीसगढ़ पर्यावरण संरक्षण बोर्ड (सीईसीबी), कोरबा के क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी अंकुर साहू, वैज्ञानिक माणिक चंदेल तथा सीईसीबी और बालको के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों और उनके परिवार के सदस्यों की उपस्थिति में वृक्षारोपण अभियान चलाया गया। कर्मचारियों के नेतृत्व में कंपनी ने पौधारोपण अभियान शुरू किया है, जिसके तहत जून में 5000 पौधे लगाए जाएंगे।

साप्ताहिक कार्यक्रम के दौरान बालको ‘केवल एक पृथ्वी’ पर आधारित विभिन्न कार्यक्रम जिसमें पर्यावरण प्रश्नोत्तरी, फोटोग्राफी और ड्राइंग प्रतियोगिता, जागरूकता रैलियां, स्वच्छता अभियान, पौधा वितरण, पर्यावरण संबंधी वृत्तचित्रों की स्क्रीनिंग और ट्रेजर हंट आदि का आयोजन करेगा।

बालको के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी एवं निदेशक श्री अभिजीत पति ने कहा कि अत्याधुनिक तकनीकों और नवाचार की मदद से बालको अपने प्रचालनों में इकोसिस्टम रोटेशन और पर्यावरण संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए कटिबद्ध है। हम अपने सतत पर्यावरण संरक्षण कार्यों के माध्यम से आने वाली पीढ़ियों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य के लिए एक मजबूत और टिकाऊ कल के निर्माण की अपनी जिम्मेदारी के प्रति सचेत हैं। बालको के विजन, कॉरपोरेट उद्देश्य, उत्पादन प्रक्रियाओं और व्यवसाय संचालन के विभिन्न तरीके पर्यावरण के सतत संवर्धन को बढ़ावा देते हैं।

छत्तीसगढ़ पर्यावरण संरक्षण बोर्ड, कोरबा के क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी श्री अंकुर साहू ने कहा कि विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर मैं जनता से सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक का उपयोग बंद करने और हमारी ‘केवल एक पृथ्वी’ की सुरक्षा में योगदान करने की अपील करना चाहता हूं। 

बालको की धातु उत्पादन प्रक्रियाएं आर्थिक, पर्यावरणीय और सामाजिक सरोकारों के विभिन्न मानदंडों पर आधारित हैं। उत्कृष्ट पर्यावरण प्रबंधन के लिए बालको ने बड़े पैमाने पर निवेश किए हैं। ‘शून्य क्षति, शून्य अपशिष्ट और शून्य उत्सर्जन’ नीति के अनुरूप बालको ने अब तक आसपास लगभग 43.5 लाख पौधे लगाए हैं। कंपनी अपनी ऊर्जा स्रोतो में विविधता लाने के लिए अक्षय ऊर्जा के विकल्प भी तलाश रही है। बालको स्मेल्टर प्रचालनों में उच्चतम ऊर्जा दक्षता के लिए राष्ट्रीय बेंचमार्क भी है।

Will plant 5000 saplings in June 2022 with employee volunteers

Balconagar, Korba, June 07, 2022: Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), India’s iconic aluminium producer and a subsidiary of Vedanta Aluminium Business, has rolled out a slew of activities in commemoration of World Environment Day. The commemoration has started with a tree plantation drive in the presence of Mr. AnkurSahu, Regional Officer of Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB), Korba, Mr. ManikChandel, Scientist – CECBand senior officials from BALCO along with their family members. Led by employees, the company has rolled out a plantation drive under which 5000 saplings will be planted in June.

Over the week, BALCO will be organizing various activities themed on‘Only One Earth’, such as environment quiz, photography and drawing competition, awareness rallies, cleanliness drive, sapling distribution, screening of environmental documentaries, treasure hunts and more.
