NMDC team visit to Perth, Australia
Hyderabad, 18th April 2022://// : A high-level delegation of NMDC Ltd, led by Mr. Sumit Deb, Chairman and Managing Directormet with state government officials and other mining companies in Australia this week.
Comprising of Mr. Amitava Mukherjee, Director – Finance and other senior officials of NMDCthe delegation, which reached Perth, Australiahad deliberations with the team of Legacy Iron Ore Ltd its Australian subsidiary.
Mr. Deb shared NMDC’s future plans with officials of the state government. Stating that FY 2022’s record production was just a beginning for NMDC, he outlined the company’s vision to become a 100 MT iron ore producer by the year 2030. NMDC, being the single largest iron ore producer in India, is diversifying into steel with the greenfieldNagarnar Steel Plant in the state of Chhattisgarh, India due to start production soon, said Mr Deb.
He also expressed optimism on the future of the recently executed agreement between Legacy Iron Oreand Hancock Prospecting Ltd, which is now a key partner. Mr Deb said Hancock’s expertise and experience, particularly in iron ore in Western Australia, would help unlock the huge potential of the Mt. Bevan project.Also present at the meeting, the Chief Executive Officer of Atlas IronOre, Mr. Sanjeev Manchandani,the appointed manager of the new joint venture, elaborated on the activities planned towards completing pre-feasibility studies of Mt Bevan.
The CMD and Director, Financealso met with heads of other mining company present and had a valuable exchange of information on mining practices in Western Australia and NMDC’s plans in the state.
Mr. Rakesh Gupta, CEO, Legacy Iron, thanked Mr. Deb, Mr. Mukherjee and other dignitaries present at the meeting for their continued support and guidance over the last few years in helping Legacy Iron grow to new heights.

एनएमडीसी की टीम ने पर्थ,ऑस्ट्रेलिया का दौरा किया
हैदराबाद, 18 अप्रैल 2022 //// : एनएमडीसी लिमिटेड के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक श्री सुमित देब के नेतृत्व में एक उच्च स्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने इस सप्ताह ऑस्ट्रेलिया में राज्य सरकार के अधिकारियों और अन्य खनन कंपनियों के साथ मुलाकात की।
निदेशक (वित्त) श्री अमिताभ मुखर्जी और एनएमडीसी के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों वाले प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने पर्थ में अपनी ऑस्ट्रेलियाई सहायक कंपनी लिगेसी आयरन ऑर लिमिटेड की टीम के साथ विचार-विमर्श किया।
श्री देब ने एनएमडीसी की भावी योजनाओं को राज्य सरकार के अधिकारियों के साथ साझा किया। उन्होंने कहा कि वित्त वर्ष 2022 का रिकॉर्ड उत्पादन एनएमडीसी के लिए सिर्फ एक शुरुआत थी। उन्होंने वर्ष 2030 तक 100 एमटी लौह अयस्क उत्पादक बनने के कंपनी के विजन को रेखांकित किया। श्री देब ने कहा कि एनएमडीसीभारत का सबसे बड़ा एकल लौह अयस्क उत्पादक है और भारत के छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य में ग्रीनफील्ड नगरनार स्टील प्लांट के साथ इस्पात क्षेत्र में विस्तार कर रहा है, जो जल्द ही उत्पादन शुरू करने वाला है।
उन्होंने लीगेसी आयरन ओर और हैनकॉक प्रॉस्पेक्टिंग लिमिटेड के बीच हाल ही में निष्पादित समझौते के भविष्य पर आशा जताई, जो अब एक प्रमुख भागीदार है। श्री देब ने कहा कि हैनकॉक की विशेष रूप से पश्चिमी ऑस्ट्रेलिया में लौह अयस्क में विशेषज्ञता और अनुभव, माउंट बेवन परियोजना की विशाल क्षमता के दोहन में मदद करेगा। बैठक में एटलस लौह अयस्क के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री संजीव मनचंदानी, नए संयुक्त उद्यम के नियुक्त प्रबंधकने माउंट बेवन के पूर्व-व्यवहार्यता अध्ययन को पूरा करने की दिशा में योजनाबद्ध गतिविधियों के बारे में विस्तार से बताया।
सीएमडी और निदेशक(वित्त) ने अन्य खनन कंपनी के प्रमुखों के साथ भी मुलाकात की और पश्चिमी ऑस्ट्रेलिया में खनन प्रथाओं और राज्य में एनएमडीसी की योजनाओं पर जानकारी का महत्वपूर्ण आदान-प्रदान किया।
लीगेसी आयरन के सीईओ श्री राकेश गुप्ता ने बैठक में उपस्थित श्री देब, श्री मुखर्जी और अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्तियों को पिछले कुछ वर्षों में लीगेसी आयरन को नई ऊंचाइयों तक बढ़ने में मदद करने के लिए उनके निरंतर समर्थन और मार्गदर्शन के लिए धन्यवाद दिया।
