ऊर्जा की खपत में कमी कर ‘ग्रीन एल्यूमिनियम’के उत्पादन में बालको का उत्कृष्ट योगदान

बालकोनगर, 13 दिसंबर।///  वेदांता समूह की कंपनी भारत एल्यूमिनियम कंपनी लिमिटेड (बालको) ने प्रचालन के विश्वस्तरीय मानदंडों के अनुरूप अपनी विभिन्न उत्पादन प्रक्रियाओं में ऊर्जा की खपत निरंतर घटाने में सफलता पाई है। एल्यूमिनियम उत्पादन लागत नियंत्रित करते हुए बालको ने ‘ग्रीन एल्यूमिनियम’ के उत्पादन में नए आयाम स्थापित किए हैं। धातु उत्पादन के क्षेत्र में बालको की विशिष्ट ऊर्जा खपत में कमी आई है। कोयले की खपत में कमी और ऊर्जा उत्पादन दर में सुधार से बालको का औद्योगिक स्वास्थ्य, सुरक्षा एवं पर्यावरण प्रबंधन मजबूत हुआ है।

बालको के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी एवं निदेशक श्री अभिजीत पति ने बालको परिवार को राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण दिवस की शुभकामनाएं दी हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि एल्यूमिनियम उद्योग मंे बड़े पैमाने पर ऊर्जा की खपत होती है। एल्यूमिनियम भविष्य की हरित धातु है जिसका विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में अनुप्रयोग निरंतर बढ़ रहा है। बीते साढ़े पांच दशकों में देश की आत्मनिर्भरता और अर्थव्यवस्था की मजबूती में बालको का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। वेदांता समूह के निवेश से बालको की उत्पादन क्षमता में लगभग छह गुना बढ़ोत्तरी हुई। इसके साथ ही ऊर्जा की खपत कम करने की दिशा में अनेक महत्वपूर्ण परियोजनाएं संचालित की गईं। बालको ने अपने स्मेल्टर के पॉट लाइन-1 में ऊर्जा की खपत कम की है। भारत तथा खाड़ी देशों के अन्य एल्यूमिनियम उद्योगों के मुकाबले बालको की विशिष्ट ऊर्जा खपत सबसे कम है। श्री पति ने यह भी कहा कि पर्यावरण, सामुदायिक उत्तरदायित्व, गवर्नेस और नवाचार के उच्चस्तरीय मानदंडों को अपनाकर कार्बन फुट प्रिंट कम करते हुए बालको प्रबंधन हरित एवं उज्ज्वल भविष्य निर्माण की दिशा में योगदान दे रहा है।

बालको ने डिजिटल एवं स्मार्ट तकनीकों को अपनाने के साथ ही नवाचार को प्रोत्साहित करते हुए पॉट की डिजाइन में बदलाव किए हैं। फ्यूज तकनीक, ऑन लाइन वेल्डिंग और सिंगल बीम तकनीकों का विकास किया गया है। मल्टीपल प्वाइंट फीडर स्थापित हैं। एयर लाइन का इंटीग्रेशन किया गया है। थर्मल मॉडलिंग के साथ ही ग्रेफीटाइज्ड पॉट का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है। पॉट लाइन-1 एवं पॉट लाइन-2 में लो प्रेशर कम्प्रेस्ड एयर तकनीक स्थापित की गई हैं। इन तकनीकी सुधारों से बालको की विशिष्ट ऊर्जा खपत कम हुई है।

ऊर्जा संरक्षण के क्षेत्र में वर्ष 2021 बालको के लिए उपलब्धिपूर्ण रहा। इस वर्ष बालको ने भारत सरकार की परफॉर्म, अचीव एंड ट्रेड (पीएटी) साइकल-2 योजना के अंतर्गत भारतीय एल्यूमिनियम उत्पादकों में सबसे अधिक ऊर्जा बचत प्रमाण पत्र हासिल किए। वर्ष 2021 में बालको के विद्युत संयंत्रों ने सीआईआई एनकॉन अवार्ड प्रदान हासिल किए। वृहद संयंत्र श्रेणी में बालको के 1200 मेगावॉट विद्युत संयंत्र को 4.75 स्टार रेटिंग सर्टिफिकेट के साथ राज्य विजेता-छत्तीसगढ़ घोषित किया गया। 540 मेगावॉट विद्युत संयंत्र ने 4.25 स्टार रेटिंग सर्टिफिकेट हासिल किया। नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 33 किलोवॉट का सौर ऊर्जा संयंत्र स्थापित किया गया है।

ऊर्जा, पर्यावरण संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन और सतत एवं सुरक्षित कार्य शैली को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए बालको ने गोल्डन पीकॉक एनर्जी इफीसिएंसी अवार्ड-2021 जीता। इसके अलावा पिछले वर्षों के दौरान गोल्डन पीकॉक सस्टेनिबिलिटी अवार्ड, सीआईआई एनर्जी इफीसिएंसी अवार्ड, छत्तीसगढ़ सीआईआई एचएसई एक्सीलेंस अवार्ड, इंटरनेशनल ग्रीन एप्पल अवार्ड, सीआईआई एनर्जी एक्सीलेंस अवार्ड, सस्टेनेबल बिजनेस ऑफ द ईयर अवार्ड, नेशनल अवार्ड फॉर एक्सीलेंस इन एनर्जी मैनेजमेंट तथा एनर्जी एंड एनवायरमेंट ग्लोबल एनवायरमेंट अवार्ड हासिल किए।

BALCO has adopted various digital, smart and innovative techniques to reduce the specific power consumption which include attempts like changing the design of pot, developing the technique of fuse, online welding and single beam technology, establishing multiple point feeders, integrating air line, thermal modelling along with graphitized pot and establishing low pressure air technique.

BALCO’s achievements in the year 2021 towards best energy management incude topping the Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT) Cycle-II among the Indian Aluminium Industry. BALCO’s

power plants have received CII ENCON Award 2021 in the field of best energy management and conservation. BALCO’s Power Plant 1200MW has been declared as State Winner – Chhattisgarh (Large Scale Category) with 4.75 Star rated certificate and the Power Plant 540MW has also procured 4.25 Star rated certificate in the 14th edition of CII Energy Conservation (ENCON) Awards 2021.
