Raipur /////Kalinga University is one of the best Universities in Central India. It is always aspiring to act in favour of social reforms and developments of various social extension activities. With this objective as vision we have adopted 5 of neighbouring villages to provide the youths of these villages with training and skills for better employment scope.

With the same mission today Kalinga University Inaugurated Skill India Initiative under Jan Shikshan Sansthaan scheme, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship as Social Extension for Kalinga’s Five adopted village.

The inauguration function included Guest of Honour Mr. Thakur Ram Singh Chief Election Commissioner. Special guest of the Function was Mr. Atul Singh, Director Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Raipur (C.G.). The function was also graced by Dr. R. Shridhar Vice Chancellor Kalinga University, Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University Dr. Monika Sethi Sharma Director, Innovation & Incubation Cell, Sarpanch of the 5 villages (Kotni, Paloud, Tandul, Kuhera, Kotrabhata) and other eminent Faculty members of the Kalinga University.

The Eminent guests were welcomed by Ms. Shriya Tripathi, Faculty of Commerce & Management. Vice Chancellor, Kalinga University, Dr. R. Shridhar, spoke on the need of the skill development. Dr. R. Shridhar emphasized on the enhancement of skills at every level and stated that it is necessary that jobseekers always try to enhance their skills constantly. During his speech, Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University, stated that need of the skill development cannot be underemphasized and it has become important that development and employment takes place at village itself and the youths of village take an active interest in it.

Mr. Atul Singh, Director Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Raipur (C.G.), praised Kalinga University management to be part of such a drive and asked the Sarpanch of various villages to encourage youths to actively participate in this initiative.

The Sarpanch of different villages were happy to know about various initiatives which will be launched by the Kalinga University Management in order to help develop their youth’s skill level.

The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Monika Sethi Sharma, Dean Faculty of Commerce & Management who said that the presence of 5 Sarpanch and the eminent guests from outside helps to work in a more focussed aware manner for the objectives laid down by the Kalinga university as part of its social vision.
