JSPL Foundation extends last date for 4th edition of Rashtriya Swayamsiddh Samman nomination

Raipur, October 11, 2021: //// Responding to the request from various individuals and organisations across the country, JSPL Foundation, the CSR arm of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), has extended the last date for nomination for the 4th Edition of its Rashtriya Swayamsiddh Samman - 2021 to October 20 2021. Like the previous three editions, this Pan India initiative will honour 20 Change Agents from India for their exemplary societal contributions and achievements.

The Foundation has received more than 400 entries and encourages individuals and organisations to apply or nominate deserving entries for the Award. The application and nomination forms, along with the details of the Award, are available on www.jsplfoundation.com

An honorarium of Rupees 1 Lakh each will be awarded to each selected winner in an Award Ceremony. The Award will be presented in 10 categories:

Agriculture / Rural Development, Art & Culture, Education, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, Environment, Health, Innovation / Technology, Sports, Public Service / Social Service, and Women Empowerment. In addition, individuals and organisations making significant efforts to support the community during the COVID-19 pandemic would also be honoured under special category.

Shallu Jindal, the Chairperson of JSPL Foundation, said, “Several persons and organisations are making excellent contributions to social development despite hardships. The Rashtriya Swayamsiddh Samman is a celebration of the indomitable human spirit that strives to change our society.  During the last three editions, we have received overwhelming responses from various parts of the country and have honoured various individuals and organisations from the grassroots for their exemplary contributions. More such individuals, such organisations and individuals should come forward to participate in the fourth edition of this pan India initiative and share their Untold Stories of Courage, which will inspire others”.

JSPL Foundation instituted the ‘Rashtriya Swayamsiddh Samman’ in 2015 to identify, reward and nurture social innovators and change-makers from the grassroots in India.

The award was instituted to honour the unsung heroes who overcame adversities in their lives to create their own unique identity, displaying exemplary courage, commitment and dedication towards their cause.

OP Jindal Global (Deemed to be University) is the Knowledge Partner for the awards and will be responsible for earmarking the parameters and finalising the awardees with the help of four panels of Regional juries and one panel of National jury.

Entries from across India will be assimilated into four Zones - North, East, West and South. Four panels of regional juries will assess the entries to evaluate entries based on identified parameters and shortlist deserving Individuals & Organisations from the respective regions. The shortlisted entries from each region will then be placed before an eminent panel of National Jury to select the Awardees, who will be honoured in an Award Presentation to be held in New Delhi.

रायपुर, 11 अक्टूबर 2021 –/// देश भर के विभिन्न व्यक्तियों और संस्थाओं के अनुरोध पर जिन्दल स्टील एंड पावर लिमिटेड (जेएसपीएल) की सीएसआर शाखा, जेएसपीएल फाउंडेशन ने राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसिद्ध सम्मान के चौथे संस्करण के लिए नामांकन की अंतिम तिथि बढ़ाकर 20 अक्टूबर कर दी है। पिछले तीन संस्करणों के अनुरूप राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसिद्ध सम्मान-2021 के लिए अखिल भारतीय स्तर पर समाज में बदलाव लाने वाले 20 व्यक्तियों या संस्थाओं को उनके अनुकरणीय सामाजिक योगदान और उपलब्धियों के लिए सम्मानित किया जाएगा। इसके तहत प्रत्येक चयनित व्यक्ति अथवा संस्था को 1 लाख रुपये की मानद पुरस्कार राशि और प्रशस्तिपत्र प्रदान किया जाएगा।

यह सम्मान 10 श्रेणियों में प्रदान किया जाता हैः-

कृषि एवं ग्रामीण विकास, कला एवं संस्कृति, शिक्षा, उद्यमिता एवं आजीविका, पर्यावरण, स्वास्थ्य, नवोन्मेषण (इनोवेशन) एवं तकनीक (टेक्नोलॉजी), खेल, जनसेवा एवं समाजसेवा, और महिला सशक्तीकरण। इसके अलावा, कोविड-19 महामारी के दौरान समुदायों की मदद करने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण प्रयास करने वाले व्यक्तियों और संस्थाओं को भी विशेष श्रेणी में सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

इस पुरस्कार की स्थापना उन गुमनाम नायकों को सम्मानित करने के लिए की गई है, जिन्होंने अपने जीवन में विपरीत परिस्थितियों को पार कर अपनी अनूठी पहचान बनाई, अनुकरणीय साहस, प्रतिबद्धता और अपने उद्देश्य के प्रति समर्पण का प्रदर्शन किया।

ओपी जिन्दल ग्लोबल यूनिवर्सिटी स्वयंसिद्ध सम्मान की नॉलेज पार्टनर है, जो क्षेत्रीय जूरी के चार पैनलों व राष्ट्रीय जूरी के एक पैनल की मदद से मापदंडों को निर्धारित करने और पुरस्कार विजेताओं के अंतिम रूप से चयन में अपनी भागीदारी निभाती है।

इस पुरस्कार के लिए देश भर से आई प्रविष्टियों को चार क्षेत्रों - उत्तर, पूर्व, पश्चिम और दक्षिण में श्रेणीकृत किया जाएगा। क्षेत्रीय निर्णायक मंडल के चार पैनल पहचान किए गए मापदंडों के आधार पर प्रविष्टियों का मूल्यांकन करेंगे और संबंधित क्षेत्रों के योग्य व्यक्तियों और संस्थाओं का चयन करेंगे। प्रत्येक क्षेत्र से चयनित प्रविष्टियों को राष्ट्रीय जूरी के एक प्रतिष्ठित पैनल के समक्ष रखा जाएगा, जिनमें से चयनित व्यक्तियों या संस्थाओं को नई दिल्ली में आयोजित होने वाले पुरस्कार समारोह में सम्मानित किया जाएगा।
