JSPL-Chhattisgarh is the largest GST payer in the state after SAIL-Bhilai

Raipur, August 15, 2021 /////- Such a historic moment comes rarely in one's life when it is Independence Day, there is an opportunity to take a pledge to build the nation by hoisting the tricolor and at the same time being declared the biggest taxpayer. This coincidence has happened on the 75th Independence Day of the country with Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), a company headed by Mr. Naveen Jindal. Principal Commissioner of CGST Mr. B.B. Mohapatra felicitated JSPL-Chhattisgarh by declaring it the largest private sector GST payer in the state yesterday. With this, JSPL-Chhattisgarh has also become the second largest GST payer in the state after SAIL-Bhilai.

This award was received by the company's Chhattisgarh-COO Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, who congratulated Chairman Mr. Naveen Jindal and the entire JSPL family for this achievement. On this occasion, the President of JSPL, Raipur, Mr. Pradeep Tandon and the Finance Head, Raigarh, Mr. Vikas Kumar were also present.

Mr. Saraogi said on this occasion that JSPL-Chhattisgarh, dedicated to the service to the nation, paid about Rs. 5400 crore as GST from June 2017 to June 2021. We are encouraged by the decision of the Government to honor JSPL-Chhattisgarh on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of the country for company’s prompt and dedicated contribution in tax payment and compliance with tax rules.

He said that Chairman Mr. Naveen Jindal and Managing Director Mr. VR. Sharma's constant guidance and vision always motivates us to adhere to the norms set by the government. It is the leadership of Mr. Jindal that no GST related legal dispute of JSPL-Chhattisgarh is in any court of law and we are following tax rules with utmost integrity and honesty.

The felicitation ceremony was held at GST Commissionerate, Raipur in which GST Bar Association, CA Institute Branch Head, members of URLA Association and Chairman, C.I.I. And members of FICCI as well as many high officials of GST Department were present. Mr. Saraogi and Mr. Tandon have congratulated everyone on this achievement.

रायपुर, 16 अगस्त 2021.//////  किसी के जीवन में ऐसा ऐतिहासिक पल कम ही आता है जब स्वतंत्रता दिवस हो, तिरंगा फहराकर राष्ट्र निर्माण का संकल्प लेने का अवसर हो और उसी समय उसे सबसे बड़ा करदाता घोषित  कर दिया जाए। श्री नवीन जिन्दल के नेतृत्व वाली कंपनी जिन्दल स्टील एंड पावर लिमिटेड (जेएसपीएल) के साथ देश के 75वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर यह संयोग हुआ है। सी.जी.एस.टी. के प्रिंसिपल कमिश्नर श्री बी.बी. महापात्रा ने जेएसपीएल-छत्तीसगढ़ को प्रदेश में निजी क्षेत्र का सबसे बड़ा जीएसटी अदाकर्ता घोषित करते हुए कल उसे सम्मानित किया। इसके साथ ही जेएसपीएल-छत्तीसगढ़, सेल-भिलाई के बाद प्रदेश का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा जीएसटी अदाकर्ता भी बन गया है।

यह सम्मान कंपनी के छत्तीसगढ़-सीओओ श्री दिनेश कुमार सरावगी ने प्राप्त किया और चेयरमैन श्री नवीन जिन्दल एवं समस्त जेएसपीएल परिवार को इस उपलब्धि के लिए बधाई दी। सम्मान के इस अवसर पर जेएसपीएल के रायपुर में प्रेसिडेंट श्री प्रदीप टंडन और रायगढ़ में फाइनेंस हेड श्री विकास कुमार भी उपस्थित थे।

श्री सरावगी ने इस अवसर पर बताया कि राष्ट्र सेवा के प्रति समर्पित जेएसपीएल-छत्तीसगढ़ ने जून 2017 से जून 2021 तक जीएसटी के रूप में करीब 5400 करोड़ रुपये की अदायगी की। कर अदायगी और कर नियमों के अनुपालन में तत्परता और समर्पित योगदान के लिए जेएसपीएल-छत्तीसगढ़ को देश के 75वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर सम्मानित करने के सरकार के निर्णय से हमें हौसला मिला है।

उन्होंने बताया कि चेयरमैन श्री नवीन जिन्दल जी एवं प्रबंध निदेशक श्री वी.आर. शर्मा के निरंतर मार्गदर्शन और उनकी दूरदृष्टि सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित मानदंडों के अनुपालन के लिए हमें सदैव प्रेरित करती है। यह श्री जिन्दल का ही नेतृत्व है कि जेएसपीएल-छत्तीसगढ़ का कोई भी जीएसटी संबंधी कानूनी विवाद किसी भी अदालत में नहीं है और हम पूरी निष्ठा और ईमानदारी से कर नियमों का अनुपालन कर रहे हैं।

यह सम्मान समारोह जीएसटी आयुक्तालय, रायपुर में आयोजित हुआ जिसमें जीएसटी बार एसोसिएशन, सीए इंस्टीट्यूट शाखा प्रमुख, यूआरएलए एसोसिएशन के सम्मानित सदस्य एवं चेयरमैन, सी.आई.आई. और फिक्की के सदस्यों के साथ-साथ जीएसटी विभाग के अनेक उच्च अधिकारी उपस्थित थे। श्री सरावगी और श्री टंडन ने इस उपलब्धि पर सभी को बधाई दी है।
